Eric & Missy are the founders of Shot for Hope. Their daughter Cali was the inspiration behind it all. Cali was born 14 weeks premature, and as a result, developed cerebral palsy. When Eric & Missy were given the opportunity and shown that hunting with Cali was possible, they wanted to be sure to pay it forward. Knowing there were hundreds of other families in their shoes, the idea of Shot for Hope blossomed into what it is today. Taking the kids on the hunt of their dreams and welcoming them to the Shot for Hope family is what continues to put a smile on their faces. In their free time, Eric is a youth wrestling coach for the Hudson program, while Missy spends her time on the sidelines cheering on their son Colton. As a family, they also enjoy hunting, working on the hunting property, gardening (Missy) and just spending time with their family and friends.Cali, the spark plug of Shot for Hope, enjoys meeting and welcoming all of the new Shot for Hope recipients. She is an avid sports fan – specifically for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Cali is also what you would call a “foodie” and loves to try new foods. When she’s not cheering on her favorite teams, or finding something good to eat, she loves to hunt, be outdoors and travel!Colton is the son of Eric and Missy. A key contributor to Shot for Hope, going on the hunts with the kids (when possible) is something he always looks forward to. Outside of Shot for Hope, Colton helps manage the families mini hobby farm – two dogs, 6 goats and a handful of chickens. In addition to his home duties, he loves to wrestle and play baseball. When asked what his favorite part of Shot for Hope is, Colton said “meeting all of the new people we bring on hunts and making their dreams come true”.
